inaugural winner of the FIFA
Puskás Award for Goal of the Year
in 2009. In a 2014 UEFA poll, he was named the greatest goalscorer to play in

only trailing Raúl by three goals. He also holds the
record for most goals scored in a
single UEFA Champions League season, scoring 17 goals in the 2013–14 season.
